TATIANA BELOVA

POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW
Norwegian University of Life Sciences

I obtained my Bachelor and Master degree in Biotechnology at Hedmark University College, Norway. I received my PhD at Plant Science Department at Norwegian University of Life Sciences. In my Ph.D. project, I was a part of the Norwegian sub-project of the International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium aiming to sequence bread wheat genome. My Ph.D. work involved improving chromosome sequence assemblies and defining large-scale gene order along the chromosome using approaches of recombination mapping, radiation hybrid mapping and comparative mapping. I am currently employed as a postdoc at Norwegian University of Life Sciences with main focus on wheat endosperm transcriptomics and basic genomics wheat research on traits that are breeding targets for Norwegian and international plant breeding programs.
